Author’s note: As the blog has gotten more popular, I can’t help but notice that this page has gotten quite a bit of traffic. Let me explain.
There are key inflection points in any struggle. I believed with every fiber of my being that the reappointment of Ben Bernanke in early 2010 was one of those moments. I still believe that. He had an 21% approval rating with the general population and got crammed down our throats by the US Senate, with a little help from TIME magazine. The will of the people was ignored (again) by our elected officials.
I was pleading for people to contact their Senators to stop the nomination. That’s all this page was.
The vote wound up being closer than anticipated….(I’ll finish this later…)
