The Anonymous Monetarist has a keen sense humor and inspired this graphic. He has latched on to a phrase coined by Bush speechwriter Matt Latimer when charged with the task of explaining to America why we were giving Hank Paulson a blank check in 2008:
We decided that if a catchphrase must be deployed, surely we could come up with something better than a tongue twister with the acronym III. We started out with dark humor: the “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Capitalism” Plan; the MARX Plan.
I know I should be reading up on the Financial Reform Bill that passed the Senate yesterday, to figure out whether they struck out or hit into a double play, but I found this distraction irresistable.
For the record, anyone is welcome to use the graphics on this site. Recognition is nice, but not necessary. This graphic in particular lends itself to all kinds of creative uses, so I dabbled a little……
It was all fun and games…..until I found this image:
I was at least as rattled as Wilson the Republicat by this one.
Anyway, use it wisely…..
